Beautiful but GRIEVING six-year-old gray tabby girl CATZ was slung into the kill-happy ACC when her old owner DIED without making any contingency plans for this once-beloved pet. Poor Catz is UTTERLY TERRIFIED, so she acted defensively during her behavioral test. Naturally the shelter PUNISHED her with New Hope Only and fast-tracked Catz to the kill list. They plan to MURDER this excellent cat at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that this dear grief-stricken girl is PERFECTLY HEALTHY. Please be Catz’s second chance at a loving forever home. Notes: Catz was bought to the care center because his previous owner passed away. We don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment and was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried strike and is fearful. She currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: remains neutral(2) Reaction to touch: hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
