CAMEO – A1056757
Gone 11-6-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 11/06/15 *** CAMEO IS A SCARED FELLOW TONIGHT….Recently he lived with other cats, dogs and a rabbit. Now because of HOME SIZE (???) he finds himself alone at the ACC. CAMEO is not taking this well….He has a NEW HOPE rating because he is terrified and understandably wants no interaction after being tossed from his home…..Our man CAMEO is only two years old and he’s already NEUTERED. He’s an independent guy who would be purrfect for someone with a busy life because he likes to hang solo and come to you for some occasional one on one time. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A QUIET COMPANION AND TO SAVE A LIFE AT THE SAME TIME…CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE AND OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT CAMEO NOW!!

11/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cameo’s former owner stated he has lived with cats, dogs, and a rabbit. He is not the most social, tried to avoid them, but got along well enough. Also, loves to play (with other cats), did not enjoy petting, uses a scratch post, is more shy, and hides a lot. Reaction to assessor: Cameo looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cameo remains crouched down at the back, alert with dilated pupils. Reaction to touch: Cameo does not allow the stroke, hisses with ears flattened to the side, and attempts to swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Cameo is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
