ASHLEY – A1044293
7-22-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Happy Homes Please honor your pledges: http://www.happyhomesinc.org/
***SAFE 07/22/15*** FOUR MONTH OLD ASHLEY came in from the Bed Stuy area of Brooklyn with her sister, MARY KATE because they were found in the basement of a business who ‘didn’t want t hem around’. It appears as if MARY KATE may have been adopted-she isn’t listed on the ACC website, but poor ASHLEY who is clean and lovely, shy, but so wanting to trust-landed here on the ‘at risk’ list. Please-this is just a little bit of a girl, a sweet and lovely little lady who is timid, but with some good food, petting, and patience this is a girl who would so bloom! Ashley has allowed herself to be petted, and you can tell that she’d be wonderful with other kittens or cats-she’d be an easy foster! Want to save a life tonight? Save ASHLEY and you will be so glad you did!

07/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Ashley was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, she focuses on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Ashley retreats to the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Ashley hisses and attempts to avoid touch by moving away from the assessor’s hand. She allows petting, but lies flat and immobile throughout the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ashley tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
