Reaction to Assessor: Jersey was resting upon approach. When softly spoken to, she lifts her head up and looks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Jersey remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jersey was hesitant of touch, but remains in place and allows petting. She hisses when touched on her back, but displayed no further reaction. Behavior Determination: Experience Jersey tolerates attention and petting but may be shy or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
