WATSON – A1034103
4-30-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 04/30/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY NEUTERED “STRAY” KITTEN ALLOWED PETTING AT FIRST, BUT NOW WILL DIE DUE TO HIS FEAR – PLEASE GRANT WATSON A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Wonderful Watson, a handsome 18-month-old white and brown tabby kitten, was stuffed into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties as a NEUTERED “STRAY” kitten with a heart-breaking back story: “Bobo, Watson, and Carson were found in a box together in a hallway. Their finder kept them for 2 days. She reports that Carson and Watson used the litterbox she provided them. Watson and Carson allowed me to pet and scan them in their carriers and walked into kennels on their own. Watson was easy to handle and didn’t resist/vocalize.” But now his FEAR in the scary shelter has taken over, so the ACC PUNISHED Watson with New Hope Only and fast-tracked this poor kitten to tomorrow’s noon kill list. Watson will gentle down and revert back to his usual friendly self as soon as he escapes the ACC hellhole. Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt scared tabby kitten WATSON from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save WATSON yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

04/23/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/23/15 15:44 Bobo, Watson, and Carson were found in a box together in a hallway. Their finder kept them for 2 days. She reports that Carson and Watson used the litterbox she provided them. Watson and Carson allowed me to pet and scan them in their carriers and walked into kennels on their own. Watson retreated in the back and had a tense body. He had dilated pupils while I photographed him and he turned his head to the wall while I collared him. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist/vocalize. Carson sprawled out in his kennel and had a relaxed body. He head butted me and tried to jump down while I pet, collared, and photographed him. He was very easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.

04/27/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Watson became stiff and alert upon approach. When softly spoken to, he shifts his head away from the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Watson remains motionless, but focuses on the assessor. Reaction to touch: Watson attempts to avoid touch and hisses. He attempts to flee from the cage when touched. Note: Watson was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Watson was tense upon intake and was nervous with handling, but allowed handling. During his initial medical exam, however, he attempted to flee and will hiss when touched. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Watson is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
