04/23/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/23/15 16:47 Spiderman was found at the Bronx Zoo. He arrived in a trap. He walked into a welcome box and then a kennel with little encouragement. He sat crouched in the litterbox during pictures. He fled when I started scanning him. He tried to climb walls. I caught him with a Freeman net and he lied still while we scanned him. He sat crouched while we put him in a carrier and pulled the net off him. He had dilated pupils and his body was tense but he didn’t show other signs of distress (e.g. ears back, mouth open) and he never resisted/vocalized or tried to bite/scratch.

04/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Spiderman looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Spiderman remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Spiderman is hesitant with the touch, ears go down to his side, and shows no interest. Placement determination: Experience / no child Spiderman tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
