07/19/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/19/15 18:07 Tiger is a 1 yrs. old male cat who was surrendered here at ACC today due to his owner entering a nursing home. Tiger is a gray tabby who is not neutered and appears to be healthy. Tiger was nervous due to being in a new surrounding away from his comfort zone. Tiger did not allow himself to be handled easily struggling slightly and meowing as well. Tiger did eventually allow himself to be transferred into a new carrier but the process took a few extra minutes. Tiger did become comfortable enough to photograph but would not allow himself to be collared. Tiger will need to adjust to his new surroundings to become comfortable enough to properly interact with people as he is nervous due to his new circumstances.

07/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Tiger was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly and social behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Tiger is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front, becomes very vocal When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention, remains vocal Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed, rolls over on back Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, head butts Try picking cat up: Tiger remains soft and relaxed while being handled Placement Determination: Beginner
