09/23/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/23/15 14:31 Basic Information Sweet Tux is a seven year old black and white spayed cat that came in today as an owner surrender. He stated that he lost his home three years ago and hasn’t been able to give Sweet Tux the stable care that she’s received since he’s had her. He found her as a stray kitten seven years ago and has had her even since. She is not declawed and hasn’t been to the vet since he first got her. However, she will undergo a full medical examination. Social Life & Personality Owner stated that Sweet Tux hasn’t done well with children. In his last home, there was a child that would often chase her and she would become frightened and hide for hours. She hasn’t been around other cats or dogs. She is litter box trained, is always indoors and her activity level is fairly low. Owner stated that she often enjoyed being to herself. He described her as being confident, mellow, affectionate, quiet and independent. Behavior Issues Owner stated that Sweet Tux does not display any behavior issues. She does run and hide when she is frightened but does not have any problems with her litter box, has never tried to scratch, swat, and claw or bite another person and she does not claw at furniture. He used to give her baths when she was younger and smaller and she wasn’t bothered by it but he hasn’t given her a bath in almost 4 years. She enjoys being picked up and held and doesn’t mind being put in her carrier. For a New Family to Know Sweet Tux was using an uncovered litter box that the owner cleaned twice a day. She enjoys playing with string toys and clawing at boxes. When home, she tends to follow owner around the house and be in the same room as him. He also stated that sometimes she would jump on to the bed and cuddle next to him. Owner was feeding her Fancy Feast dry food and stated that she’d sleep just about anywhere. Upon intake, Sweet Tux displayed signs of fear. She kept retrieving further and further into her carrier and attempted to hide her head so no one could look at her. However, she didn’t display any signs of behavior issues and allowed herself to be collard and photographed.

Reaction to touch: Sweet Tux rubs against the assessor’s hand soliciting attention. She is calm and relaxed. Reaction to being picked up: Sweet Tux quickly turns around and hisses. She growls for a short period of time then goes back to soliciting attention.
