***GONE 12/18/15***BEAUTIFUL SUSAN WAS BROUGHT INTO THE SHELTER BY SOMEONE WHO FOUND HER IN THE APARTMENT HE MOVED INTO IN MAY – BUT WAITED TIL NOW TO DUMP HER FOR THE HOLIDAYS! SUSAN is a very beautiful house pantherette who is already spayed and about 5 years old. She was abandoned by her previous owner, and the person who kept her since May has now decided to abandon her in the ACC too! SUSAN is now depressed and not eating after being dumped in the shelter – two owners in one year!! She was described as being shy, friendly an affectionate by this ex-owner. A volunteer writes: Gorgeous and petite, sweet Susan is a very special young lady in need of a very special new home. She can be very sweet and friendly, but if she gives you a signal to back off, it’s a good idea to do so. We think Susan is suited for experienced cat parents in a quiet home, and that she can blossom into the lovely cat she truly is there. SUSAN was given an EXPERIENCE rating and needs YOU tonight to pull her off the euth list and into a safe home where she can feel loved again. This poor girl doesn’t deserve to die and needs a holiday miracle!! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE SUSAN AND MAKE HER HOLIDAYS HAPPY!!

11/28/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/28/15 Susan is an adult, spayed, DSH. Her owner found her in his apt when he moved there in May. She stands and walks with her hips low to the ground. Susan is friendly and outgoing w/ some strangers. She hides from others, especially if a lot of people are in her home at once. She has scratched and bit/nipped a few adults (men/women) while they were petting her, especially around her hips. Her scratches have sometimes broken skin. Her bites have only involved her briefly placing her mouth on someone’s hand. This has always been a very gentle warning without applying any pressure. Thus, her bites have never broken skin. Her most recent scratch occurred about 1 month ago. Susan has not spent time with children. She visited a home with a young, adult, male cat. She hid from him and hissed at him when he approached. She wouldn’t eat next to him or use the litter box after him. Susan is relaxed in the car. She doesn’t mind being woken up. She struggles during nail trims and when put in a carrier, so her owner uses a towel to do so. She doesn’t mind being picked up but struggles if held for an extended period of time. Susan initially pottied only in her litterbox (open with clumping litter). Then, she visited a home with another cat whom she feared. She often wouldn’t come out from under the couch and would go potty there. Since she’s been back home, she’s been having litterbox accidents about every other day. This is usually her urinating mostly in the box but a little outside of her box. She has also urinated on bags a few times. Her owner stated that there’s a lot of fluid, but he hasn’t watched her urinate. Susan’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, mellow, shy, independent, and low energy. She follows her owner around, sits in his lap, and head butts him constantly. She lived inside and slept next to her owner’s head. She ate dry Purina food and got turkey as a treat. She scratched the couch and didn’t scratch her vertical rope-covered scratching post. Susan was a little tense in her carrier. She walked out w/ little encouragement. She allowed me to collar and scan her(-). While I was petting her head, she quickly, briefly, and gently placed her mouth on my hand w/out applying pressure. I barely felt her mouth and her teeth did not break the glove or my skin at all. She then hissed once. I backed up and continued to take her pictures. She walked around the counter and then into her carrier when asked. She lied down.
