07/21/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/21/15 18:17 Basic Info: Sox is a 12 year old spayed cat. She has not been to a vet for more than 2 years. Sox is described as a cat that doesn’t really like people and has only really been loving to her owner. Behavior During Intake: This cat was very angury during intake. She came to MACC in a cardbord carrier. During transfer I had an ACO assist. The ACO was wearing the Shor-Line gloves and the cat bit her. The bite did not break skin only because the ACO had the gloves on. Also during the transfer, the cat urinated and deficated in the box. She continued to low growl once inside the farel cat den. The owner did advise that this cat is not good with interactions with people. During the interview the client just kept reiterating that the cat does not do well with people. Jeremy Beyer

07/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sox was affectionate toward her previous owner but is reported to be minimally tolerant of other people. She has tried to bite several staff members in the care center, though none have led to injuries or broken skin. She has not allowed any handling or interaction, and has spent most of her time in her cat den. Reaction to assessor: Sox is in her den when approached. She cannot be coaxed out. Reaction to cage door opening: Sox looks at the assessor through the holes in the den, pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Sox swats immediately as soon as an item approaches the window of her den. Placement determination: New Hope Only While she got along well with her owner, due to Sox’s behavior in the care center as well as her previous owner’s concerns that she does not do well with any people aside from her owner, we feel that placement with a New Hope partner is the best option at this time.
