JEEVES – A1044658
7-24-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/24/15*** 5 MONTH OLD KITTEN FROM THE BRONX WITH RESCUE ONLY RATING NEEDS YOU! JEEVES was brought in as a stray from the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, a place known for it’s abandonment and ill treatment of cats. This is an area where cats are often set upon by people or caught to use to ‘train dogs’ so JEEVES may have been lucky to make it out alive-but-not-she will die tomorrow, this frightened little kitten who’s not even 6 months old. (The ACC has no idea how old Jeeves is, since they also think she is 2) Yes, she’s scared and distrustful but wouldn’t you be if you were here? She is in a small cage, and has no idea what will happen to her. Now, kittens that are scared as she is can and do come around and ACC is notable for it’s fear of small and ‘fractious’ kittens. Please, don’t be afraid-offer to foster this little one and save her life-she really really needs you tonight-so what are you waiting for? SAVE JEEVES TONIGHT! SHE DOESN’T HAVE ANOTHER NIGHT TO SPARE!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Jeeves does not come to the front but is neutral inside her cage. She lowers her eyes and looks away from the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Jeeves becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Jeeves does not allow touch; she hisses and swats at the assessors hand. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Jeeves is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
