***SAFE 11/22/15*** 9 year old QUINCY and litter mate, 7 year old NOVA are being DUMPED because their previous owner didn’t have the decency to look for a new dwelling that was cat – friendly! Not just one, but two lives hang in the balance because of the owner’s incompetence! QUINCY is DECLAWED and has limited vision due to scarring and is said by the owner to be blind in one eye. He is already NEUTERED and ready to go! NOVA is SPAYED so she is also just ready and waiting to go! These two look-alikes may not need to go together but in your heart, how could you split them up? Both need experienced cat parents with no children. Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this duo,NOVA is QUINCY’S eyes, and QUINCY is NOVA’S heart!

11/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nova’s previous owner states that she has lived with adults. She has lived with other cats and is fine around them. She was described as shy, friendly, and affectionate with a medium activity level. She is shy around children and will need some time to get to know them. She is fearful when having her nails trimmed, but enjoys having her coat brushed. She does not enjoy being held, but will tolerate it. Nova will usually stay in her favorite spot or follow the owner around in the home. Reaction to assessor: Nova was stiff and alert by the back of her cage upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Nova’s ears bend flat slightly and focuses on the assessor with dilated eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Nova attempts to hide and flattens her body against the back wall. Reaction to touch: Nova flattens her body even more, but remains immobile and allows all petting. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Nova tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
