NAAN – A1055630
Gone 10-26-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/26/15*** THREE YEAR OLD NAAN IS FIV+ AND NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT!!! NAAN was living outside in someone’s yard along with a group of other cats. He was trapped along with another cat named PURI A1055629 who is not listed tonight. NAAN is a typical stray, complete with a healed aural hematoma which just gives him a unique cuteness about him. NAAN received an EXPERIENCE rating because is is afraid – which is totally normal. He allowed petting and handling but will need a home to decompress and relax. FIV cats can live with other non-FIV cats. NAAN is hoping that someone will find it in their heart tonight to rescue him and give him a good home. CAN YOU FIND A PLACE FOR THIS SUPER KITTY? HE ONLY HAS UNTIL NOON MONDAY TO LIVE. PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW IF YOU CAN SAVE HIM.

10/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Naan was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder stated he lived outside amongst other stray cats. Naan was very tense and nervous upon intake, but tolerated petting inside his carrier. Reaction to assessor: Naan was low against the floor, stiff and alert upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Naan looks at the assessor with dilated eyes and starts to breathe rapidly. Reaction to cage door opening: Naan remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Naan was very hesitant and wary of the assessor’s hand. He sniffs it and will allow petting with a very slow approach. He slowly shifts his body to face the cage wall with his tail tucked closely beside him. He blinks and lip licks throughout the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Naan tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
