I am an unaltered male, black Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 13 weeks old.
I weigh 2 pounds.
I was found in NY 11373.
I have been at the shelter since Aug 11, 2015.
8/12:
Vet Check: Express bladder
S/O: BAR, ate all wet food. Bladder expressed easily. OS has mucoid discharge.
A: bilateral hind limb paralysis, rads to be taken to assess
P: Express bladder BID, continue treatment plan, take rads ASAP. Applied SSD to area of urine scald on R inner thigh, and erythromycin OS.
8/11/15
Scan : Negative
Sex: Neutered, tatoo present, ear tipped
S/O: Presented BAR. Mild mucoid discharge OS, OD normal. Serous nasal discharge. Non-ambulatory hind limb paralysis. Deep pain sensation positive. Unable to urinate voluntarily. Area of road rash or urine scald on inside of R thigh. Eating soft food well.
A: Non-ambulatory bilateral hind limb paralysis. Unable to urinate volunarily. Possible pelvic fracture, or spinal cord injury.
P: Buprenorphine 0.08ml of 0.5mg/ml given SQ, continue x5days. 0.1ml of PenG SQ. Continue pain meds and clavamox. Pelvic rads tomorrow, will need manual expression of bladder BID. Prazosin to facilitate expression. Recheck with vet tomorow. Email plea sent to BK NH staff
PROGNOSIS: GUARDED
