08/27/15 16:03 BASIC INFO: Jimmy A1049360 is a 9 month old domestic shorthair male cat. He was born in the Home of Owner. Owner cannot keep due to the fact that they have 2 other cats. Jimmy has not benn to a veterinarian. SOCIALIZATION: Jimmy is friendly around strangers. He has never lived with children. He does not play with adults, but loves to play with a toy mouse. The cat lived with 2 other cats and they were very loving with each other. They played gently with each other. Jimmy has never lived with dogs. He has never bitten or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR: Jimmy does not have any behavior issues. He took care of his own grooming. He does enjoy being held and pet. Jimmy does not have any litter box problems. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Jimmy is friendly, affectionate and playful. He has a medium activity level. Jimmy loves to play with other cats. When home, he stays in the same room. Jimmy was mostly kept in doors. He eats Friskies wet food twice a day. He uses a hooded litter box with Fresh Step cat litter. He scratches on an old sofa in the home. Reaction to assessor: Jimmy does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside his cage. He focuses on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Jimmy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jimmy was hesitant of touch, but sniffs the assessor’s hand and lowers his head. He remains immobile for petting on his head and body. As per previous owner, Jimmy is friendly around strangers. He has never lived with children and isn’t very playful with adults, but loves to play with mice toys. He has lived with 2 other cats and is very loving and plays gently with them. He enjoys being held and pet and does not have any litter box issues. He was described as friendly, affectionate, and playful with a medium activity level. Behavior Determination: Experience Jimmy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
