**GONE 11/24/15** ANOTHER CHANCE FOR JET–MAKE IT COUNT!!!JET and his pal CINDERS are strays who have been living outside near someone’s home. She couldn’t keep them so she brought them into the shelter hoping they’d have a better life. She said both cats were very FRIENDLY and she was worried, with winter soon approaching. JET is a 2 year old male cat with a SILKY BLACK COAT and big YELLOW EYES. So handsome!! He’s hoping someone will scoop him up before the shelter’s lethal injection tomorrow! JET IS VERY FRIENDLY and open to affection. He blinks calmly when a visitor talks to him and lets himself be pet on the head. JET would do great in an experienced pet home with no children. JET is a sweet guy who just needs time and some loving care to warm up to his new home. PLEASE GIVE THIS HANDSOME GUY A CHANCE!! He is a special guy. Please let AMAZING JET into your heart and your home tonight!!!

11/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jet was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder has been feeding him for the past two weeks and says that he is very friendly. He was quiet upon intake and allowed handling throughout the intake process and during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Jet was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jet looks at the assessor and blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Jet retreats to the back of the cage and squeezes his body into the corner. Reaction to touch: Jet starts breathing rapidly and lip licks. He was hesitant of touch and lowers his head, but allows gentle petting on his head. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Jet tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
