***GONE 12/19/15***FAB FRIBBLE NEEDS FUREVER FRIEND! A staff member writes, “Fribble! What a cute name for such a cute cat! Fribble is a little confused about what is going on right now. He found himself suddenly out of his home and stuck on the street, petrified. Our field team scooped him up and brought him to the care center, and he’s still trying to figure it all out. He wants to be pet and loved, but is still scared and nervous at the same time. Fribble will blossom in a home with someone who will have the patience to let him adjust to his new life. Can you be his hero? Come to our Manhattan Care Center to meet him today.” Fab Fribble, a gorgeous grey dude with a white vest, is three years old and a super playful and affectionate boy. He was apparently tossed out on the street after being a housepet and was naturally, fearful. But he is such a good, sweet boy who would make a purrfect companion to just about anyone. Fribble is recommended to go to a home without kids since he gets easily stimulated. We are not quite sure why he is rescue only but he is obviously an awesome, handsome cat who deserves a new “leash” on life. Please contact a rescue if you can foster or adopt Fribble. Email [email protected] for assistance. Help make Fribble’s dream of a new family a reality. Make the call for him NOW!!!

12/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
12/14/15 Reaction to assessor: Fribble comes to the front of the cage – soliciting attention and rubbing against the cage front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fribble stays at the front – continues to solicit attention and rub against the cage front. Reaction to cage door opening: Fribble remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Fribble solicits petting and attention – chirping and rubbing against the assessor’s hand. After several strokes, he becomes overstimulated and nips gently at the assessor’s hand. After calming down, he resumes soliciting attention. Fribble is social and affectionate but appears to be easily overstimulated. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Fribble becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance. Behavior Determination: Experienced, no children. Fribble solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention or may play roughly. Due to becoming easily overstimulated, we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children. 11/12/15 Reaction to assessor: Fribble looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Fribble remains crouched down in his litter box, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Fribble accepts the stroke, slowly head-butts the assessor’s hand, but remains cautious with his surrounding and began to randomly hiss while he kept seeking attention. Placement determination: Experience Fribble tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
