***GONE 11/05/15 *** SECOND CHANCE FOR EVE, who IS ON HER OWN TONIGHT…Her back story is a bit unclear whether an owner died and someone took her in or she was a stray in a building taken care of for a couple months….Either way, EVE is in trouble….Approximately 10 year old, sweet EVE has an infected and ruptured mammary tumor which needs care….which is why she has a NEW HOPE rating. EVE REALLY NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER TONIGHT!!! If you can give this sweet lady the chance she needs, please CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE. 10/31/15 16:30 Basic Information Eve was brought in as a stray, after living in a client’s building. Client has been feeding Eve for the past three months, and says she has always been kind and friendly. Behavior during Intake Eve was friendly during intake. She purred when approached and allowed counselor to pet her. Eve accepted food, and allowed all handling to be conducted. Eve showed no signs of aggression during intake.

Please take note: Eve is being treated for a medical condition at the time of the evaluation, and is receiving pain medication. We cannot be certain how this is affecting her behavior. Her behavior may change when her medical condition is addressed. Reaction to assessor: Eve looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Eve remains lying down, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Eve does not allow the stroke, hisses and growls at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Eve is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
