Bugsz was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Upon intake Bugsz did not like to be petted on his back. During his initial exam he was purring and was very curious of his environment. He enjoys his scratching post and playing with toys. Reaction to assessor: Bugsz was reaching out with paws trying to play with the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bugsz solicits attention rubbing his head against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Bugsz was calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Bugsz solicits attention and purrs when petted. He was not bothered when petted on his back. He is very energetic, constantly moving around. Reaction to being picked up: Bugsz becomes antsy and jumps back into the cage. Behavior Determination: Average Bugsz interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
