CINDERS – A1058356
Safe 12-4-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 12/04/15*** SECOND CHANCE FOR CINDERS WHO TESTED FELV POSITIVE. CINDERS who is about 2 years old, is a good example of what happens when cats are abandoned. She and her sister were abandoned most likely in front of their home. When the new person moved in with 2 cats of her own, she brought CINDERS and her sister JET to ACC. JET was killed by ACC 11/24/15-after all, she was one more cat they had to ‘get rid of’ in the before Thanksgiving Holocaust. Now gentle and sweet CINDERS-another little black cat who has a gentle disposition faces death tomorrow. Sadly, people do not adopt black cats often, they are invisable, the most likely to be killed. CINDERS needs you tonight. She is a young girl and this is what the ACC Assessor says of her: . ‘Reaction when softly spoken to: Cinders meows, comes to the front, and rubs her cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Cinders remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cinders was a bit hesitant, but she head-butts, begins to purr, and twirls in a circle to solicit more attention. Her tail sways from side to side and she may move away at times, but she remains affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Cinders remains calm and allows handling.’ Please remember that FELV cats can live solo, with other FELV cats and with dogs!! CINDERS needs you as few other cats do. She’s alone now, and has no idea whats happened. Don’t let her be killed!!! SAVE CINDERS TONIGHT!!

11/19/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/19/15 11:40 Jet A1058355 and Cinders A1058356 are strays that have been around the finder’s private house. She recently moved to her new home 2 weeks ago. She has two cats of her own and she is unable to keep them. She has been feeding them dry food for the past two weeks. She said that they are very friendly and is worried because winter time is approaching. Behavior during intake Jet and Cinders were calm and quiet upon intake. They allowed me to scan(-) them and collar them. They sat patiently for their pictures. They let me pet them and transfer them into kennels.

A staff member writes: Cinders is such a sweet baby. This gorgeous girl has shiny plush coat and big green eyes that just say “come and pet me”. When you say hello to her she chirps right back and comes to the front of her kennel. Open the door to pet her and that’s it, you’re in love. Cinders will meow and twirl and headbutt, so excited to meet you and snuggle a little. Please consider taking this lovely kitty home today!
