10/19/15 13:25 Basic Information: Chester is a 5 year old spayed calico domestic shorthair cat. She was surrendered by her owner because they were moving out of state. She was originally found as a stray, and is described as sassy and independent. Social Life and Personality: Chester has been around older children, about 7 and up and is described as standoffish but usually tolerant. Around other cats she has a hard body and hisses with her tail up; she doesnt play. She has not been around dogs. She is litterbox trained and uses the litterbox exclusively. She has been kept mostly indoors. Her activity level is described as high, she is often running and chasing flies. Behavior: She is often aggressive towards other cats. She has never been given a bath or had her nails trimmed. She isn’t bothered when being put in a carrier. For a new family to know: Chester has been using clumping litter, Worlds best and an uncovered litterbox. She plays with balls and uses a cardboard scratching post. She tends to be in her own space. She eats wet and dry food Taste of the Wild, and is free fed. She sleeps on the couch or her own bed. Upon intake Chester was tense had a firm body, she allowed scanning and photo to be taken, hissed when attempting to collar.

Chester was bought into the care center due to her previous owner moving to a home that does not allow pets. Chester has been around children and is described as standoffish but usually tolerant. Around other cats she has a hard body and hisses with her tail up. She has not been around dogs. She is litterbox trained. Chester has been kept mostly indoors. Her activity level is described as high, she is often running and chasing flies. Reaction to assessor: Chester does not come to front but looks at you calmly When spoken quietly: Chester does not come to front but continues to looks at you calmly Reaction to door cage opening: Chester remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Chester allows petting and attention. She also like to jump out of the cage to try to explore Try picking cat up: Chester is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Chester was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Chester is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
