Behavior:
Homee has been around children of all ages. He has always been gentle around children and enjoys getting belly rubs from them. He seeks attention from adults and at times engages in soft play. When strangers come around the house Homee curiously comes out and slowly approaches them. He warms up to people quickly and allows to be petted. He has never been around dogs. He has been around other cats, he is very respect and at times playful.

Reaction to door cage opening: Homee remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch:Homee allows petting and attention
Try picking cat up: Homee is tolerant of this type of handling.

At the time of the assessment Homee was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Homee is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

BASIC INFORMATION
Homee is an 8 year neutered gray domestic shorty hair cat. He was a gift to the owner when he was just a small kitten. Since then Homee and his owner has built a closed bond. However owner has to surrender home due Land Lord issue. He is unable to take Homee to his new apartment that doesn’t allow pets. Homee has no known illness.
SOCIALAZATION
Homee has been around children of all ages. He has always been gentle around children and enjoys getting belly rubs from them. He seeks attention from adults and at times engages in soft play. When stranger come around the house Homee curiously comes out and slowly approach. He warms up to people quickly and allows to be petted. He has never been around dogs. He has been around other cats, he is very respect and at times playful.
BEHAVIOR
Homee allows all handling. He allows being picked up and held. He has never received a bath but he gets his nails trimmed by a groomer. He always uses a scratching post to groom his nails. He is never destructive of furniture. Homee is well behaved when left at home alone. And he has never bitten or scratched any one.

Homee is described at mellow, affectionate and gentle. He enjoys the company of people. Homee spends most of the day looking out the window or lounging around. He enjoys long rubs and having his coat brushed. His favorite brand of food is science diet. He can be very picky with other brands of cat foods. He enjoys any type of cat treats. He enjoys playing with strings, wands and balls. Homee loves to relax and lay next to people.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE
During intake Homee’s body was soft and relaxed. He allowed being collard, scanned and photographed. He allowed being petted, picked up and placed gently in his cage. He was very friendly and affectionate with counselor.
