ZOOEY – A1047709
8-18-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 08/18/15*** SECOND NIGHT ON THE LIST FOR THIS SENIOR STUNNER! ZOOEY LOST HER HOME WHEN HER OWNER BECAME SICK – NOW THE ACC WILL MAKE HER LOSE HER LIFE TOO! ZOOEY is a senior girl of about 12 years old. She is very sad because she is missing her owner and who could blame a cat of this age? ZOOEY was rated EXPERIENCE however she did purr when her cheeks were rubbed but her body language certainly is that of a depressed cat. ZOOEY needs you now to bail her out of the ACC jail. She only has until the NOON DEADline. ZOOEY was perfectly healthy when she was dumped here but has since caught the kitty cold which is why she sits on the list tonight. GIVE THIS SENIOR BEAUTY A HOME TONIGHT – OLDER CATS MAKE GREAT COMPANIONS! CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL HER TO SAFETY NOW!

08/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Zooey was resting in her cage upon approach. She lifts her head up and blinks when softly spoken to, and then looks away after. Reaction to cage door opening: Zooey remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Zooey was a bit hesitant of touch, but sniffs the assessor’s hand and lightly rubs her cheeks. She starts to purr and warm up to the assessor, but she remains in the back with her tail dropped down and is reluctant to come to the front. Behavior Determination: Experience Zooey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
