***SAFE 06/30/15***SECOND CHANCE FOR ZOLA–MAKE IT COUNT– CHARMING SPAYED “STRAY” GIRL HAS A LOVING VOLUNTEER PLEA AND A NEAR-PERFECT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HER ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT ZOLA A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Six-year-old white and brown tabby lovebug ZOLA finds herself stuffed into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties as a SUPPOSED “STRAY”, but is Zola a STRAY? NO WAY! Zola immediately caught the eye of an ACC volunteer, who poignantly writes: “We don’t know how Zola got her name, but I suspect that she must have been named for the noted 19th century author Emile Zola, because there are some amazing similarities between the two. For example, Emile Zola was celebrated for novels such as “Therese Raquin” and “La Bete Humaine”, while Zola the cat is equally celebrated for her ease of handling and tidy litter box. In another uncanny resemblance, the author Zola loved to expound the virtues of literary naturalism, while our Zola loves to be gently rubbed under the chin and between the ears. Finally, although it might seem unlikely that our little Zola played a prominent role in the Dreyfus Affair, quantum mechanics proves that the possibility can not be conclusively ruled out, either! But despite all these incredible similarities, just ask yourself which Zola you’d rather have curled up in your lap on a lazy summer day, and I think the answer will be clear. So why not come down to the Brooklyn care center and meet our little writer-in-residence today?” But the heartless ACC will KILL lovely Zola at noon tomorrow, even though she earned a near-perfect AVERAGE behavior rating! Please scoop up this lovebug before it’s too late. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt darling ZOLA! If you can’t save ZOLA yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!
