***SAFE 09/03/15 *** PASTA IS USUALLY SUCH A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE…..Leave it to the ACC to turn it into something else….ROTINI & ZITI are two Staten Island pals who came in with friend PENNE (not listed). They are only little tykes at 14 weeks old and have probably been on their own and as such, not very trusting at this point. The ACC punished them both with a New Hope rating. BUT A CAT LOVING PURRSON CAN TURN THAT AROUND…HOW ABOUT GIVING THIS PASTA DUO A TEMPORARY OR PURRMANENT HOME TONIGHT?? AND SAVE TWO LIVES AT THE SAME TIME!!

I am a male blk tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/27/2015 from NY 10305, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-029614.

08/27/15 12:37 Animal’s appearance – Kitten appeared to be clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – There was no interaction with the kitten. The kitten came in a trap and was transferred straight into den. There was no incident or aggression. Finder stated that she has stary cats living in her yard. She stated that there is one female and one male in particular that keep reproducing. This kitten is a product of those cats. Finder stated she is going to attempt to catch the parents.

Reaction to assessor: Hiding in den when I approach. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Cries, still hiding. (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Becomes stiff and alert, cries. (3) Reaction to touch: Moves away and tries to flee cage, does not allow handling. (3) Notes: Ziti came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Ziti is exhibiting fearful behavior. He avoids interaction with the assessor and does not allow handling. Ziti is displaying behavior suited to rescue partners.
