Safe 10-6-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
*** SAFE 10/06/15*** “GOOD SWEET” KITTEN, FOUND AT THE AIRPORT, HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE HE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT ZEBRA A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Adorable six-month-old brown tabby and white kitten ZEBRA finds himself stuffed into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties after being found AT THE AIRPORT. Zebra quickly charmed the ACC staffers during intake, where he was described as a “GOOD SWEET BOY, EASY TO HANDLE”. Zebra earned a very good EXPERIENCE behavior rating for the FRIENDLY way he allowed all petting and let himself be picked up. Zebra is EATING WELL, but sadly, this poor kitten caught the notorious ACC kitty cold, and we all know the ACC prefers to KILL rather than CURE, despite the fact that kitty colds are easily and inexpensively cured. Please don’t let the ACC murder this darling kitten! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt precious brown tabby boy ZEBRA! If you can’t save ZEBRA yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

09/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Zebra was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Zebra is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Placement Determination: Experience
