FOUR THAT NEED FREEDOM TONIGHT!! HOGARTH, ZAPPA, SPOT AND FUR BALL ALL GOT THE SHORT END OF THE STICK!! Owner decided to move to a non pet-friendy place and trapped their cats leading to abrasions on 3 out of the 4. One of the cats (HOGARTH) may have eye damage. NOW THE ACC WANTS TO OBLITERATE ALL FOUR TOGETHER!! These cats all have Experience ratings but that is due to their being frightened and confused at their situation. PLEASE HELP THIS FAB FOURSOME FIND RESCUE TONITE!! MAYBE YOU CAN FOSTER OR ADOPT ONE OR TWO?? All that is needed is a couple folks to come forward and all four can be saved….YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO….SAVE THEM TONITE!!

04/07/15 18:26 NAME:Zappa REASON FOR SURRENDER:Client is surrendering cats A1032471, 472, 473 & 474 due to a residential move to a home that does not allow pets RELATIONSHIP: Client has owned Zappa for 4yrs. Zappa was bred at home & does not have any known health issues. PEOPLE: Zappa has lived with 2 adults & has not been exposed to children. Zappa is very friendly towards adults that he is familiar with, he may be shy towards strangers. OTHER ANIMALS: Zappa has lived with 3 other cats. Client stated Zappa tends to be Alpha male around the other cats, but has never shown aggressive behavior towards them. Zappa has not shown any aggression towards the other cats & often plays with the other cats. Zappa has not been exposed to dogs. PERSONALITY/HABITS: Zappa is litter box trained & does not have accidents outside of litter box. Zappa is kept indoors only. His activity level is high, Zappa loves to play. He uses clumping litter inside of an uncovered litter box. Owner stated Zappa does not have a scratching post but tends to scratch on a wooden rail. When owner is home, Zappa will follow owner around & sit on lap. He does not like getting into carriers & will try to run away & hide. Zappa enjoys eating dry food. He is best described as a playful, friendly & affectionate cat. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Zappa appeared to be shy and afraid of his enviornment, allowed minimal handling.

Please take note: Zappa’s former owner stated he has lived with 2 adults. He is very friendly towards adults that he is familiar with, he may be shy towards strangers. Zappa has lived with 3 other cats. Also, stated Zappa tends to be alpha male around the other cats. Zappa has not shown any aggression towards the other cats & often plays with the other cats. Reaction to assessor: Zappa looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Zappa remains crouched down with tail tucked underneath his legs, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Zappa accepts the stroke, but lip licks in place and began to low growl at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Zappa tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
