I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/15/2015 from NY 11693, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-027441.

Zakki is a male orange and white cat. Zakki was easy to handle allowing himself to be transferred into a new carrier with minimal effort. Zakki also allowed himself to be collared and photographed. Zakki was brought straight to Cat Exam to check his health as he appeared underweight and dehydrated.

Notes: Please note that Zakki is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Zakki was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, allows attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Zakki is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Zakki remained calm while being handled Placement Determination: Average
