Reaction to assessor: At the front of the cage when I approach, soft and relaxed. (1) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Stays at the front and looks at me, meows. (1) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains soft and relaxed. (1) Reaction to touch: Allows petting and attention, rolls over. (1) Reaction to being picked up: Calmly tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Yellow Simon came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Yellow Simon is displaying friendly behavior. He interacts with the assessor and appreciates all handling. Yellow Simon is exhibiting behavior suited for beginning or experienced cat parents.
