***SAFE 07/0715*** For an eleven- month old, poor XYLOPHONE has already been through the ringer!! This adorable male was CAUGHT in a trap, set up because their was cat waste in the yard! So now after such a traumatic experience, of course this little guy is scared out of his mind and because of that behavior the ACC has slapped XYLOPHONE with a RESCUE ONLY rating!!! XYLOPHONE needs a miracle and for that to happen, he needs you to contact a New Hope rescue to pull him to safety tonight. Please be little XYLOPHONE’S miracle. One trap was bad enough…to be on DEATH ROW is a trap he really needs to be freed from!!!!

06/24/15 19:58 Animal’s appearance – Cat appeared clean and of healthy weight, Animal’s demeanor with you – cat was in a trap. it was hiding and attempting to retreat. cat was not handled just transferred from trap to den. Finder stated that he was helping a friend clean up their yard and it was evident that cats coming onto the property because there was urine and fecal matter in the yard. So the finder decided to set up a trap and this is the cat that got caught.

Notes: Xylophone came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Xylophone is displaying fearful behavior. He avoids interaction with the assessor and does not allow handling. Xylophone is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue groups who can address his behavioral problems.
