WINTER – A1058990
Safe 12-5-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Anjellicle Cats Rescue Please honor your pledges: http://bit.ly/WinterA1058990
***SAFE 12/05/15*** WINTER is a 1 year old that was brought into the Care Center as a STRAY. The Finder had seen WINTER in the neighborhood and had fed but no idea what made the Finder think that bringing him into the shelter was a good idea! Now, he waits. Hoping for a family that may never come, praying for a family that will! He’s scared and was “loud and vocal” upon entering the shelter, so he’s going to need understanding and a new pet parent with EXPERIENCE. PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this kitten. Winter may come and go but THIS WINTER you can have for life!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Winter was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder states that he is a stray cat in her neighborhood and she has fed him before. He was very vocal and loud upon intake, but he allowed all handling. He resisted handling during his initial medical exam, however. Reaction to Assessor: Winter was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Winter meows loudly and comes to the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Winter remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Winter meows and whines at times, but he allows the assessor to pet him on his head and his back. He arches his back into petting, but continues to meow loudly and his tail sways back and forth sideways. Placement Determination: Experience Winter tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
