ONLY NOW, do they need to dump the frightened 2 year old because the owner’s mother has ALLERGIES! She has lived with a small dog and was affectionate with, however has NOT been socialized around children or other cats. She just wants out an ONLY YOU CAN SAVE HER! Contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE NOW! 08/04/15 15:35 Basic Information: Willow is a 2 year old black domestic short hair. She was given to the owner as a kitten and is being surrendered due to the owner’s mother allergies. She has not been to the vet but has no known health problems or injuries. Social Life and Personality: Willow has lived with adults and has not been socialized with children or other cats. She lived with a small dog and Willow played with the dog and was affectionate with her. Willow is litter box trained. She has been kept indoors and has a high activity level. The owner describes her as playful, shy, affectionate, and quiet. Behavior: Willow is afraid of baths and struggles with them. Willow enjoys being brushed, picked up, and held. She is not bothered when being placed in a carrier or woken up. For a New Family to Know: Willow is used to clumping litter inside an uncovered litter box. She does not play with toys. She scratches on furniture but has never been given a cat post to use. She follows people around the house when they are home. She is exuberant during play. She is afraid of car rides and meows during them. She is used to eating meow mix dry cat food. She likes to sleep on the couch and bed. Willow was sitting in her carrier with a tense body. She allowed to be picked up and placed on the counter for photos and scanning. She held still on the counter and allowed to be collared. She did not solicited attention or retreat when approached. She was easily placed back in her carrier. When placed back in the carrier Willow walked to the back of the carrier and had dilated eyes.

She lived with a small dog. Willow played with the dog and was affectionate with her. Willow is litter box trained. She has been kept indoors and has a high activity level. The previous owner describes her as playful, shy, affectionate, and quiet. Notes: Willow at the time of the assessment was displaying conflicted behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel and growled at the assessor. With a slow approach Willow began to interact with the Assessor an appreciates attention. Willow tolerated all petting. Willow is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: resting at the back of cage When spoken quietly: does not come to front but appears calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: growls at assessor Reaction to touch: with a slow approach allows petting, head butts, kneads Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick up Placement Determination: Experience
