Please take note: Willie’s former owner stated he is more shy, hides a lot. Reaction to assessor: Willie looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Willie becomes alert with dilated pupils, hisses and strikes at the assessor. Reaction to touch: Willie does not allow the touch, hisses, and growls at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Willie is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
