06/05/15 22:00 Whistle arrived as an owner surrender with limited information. Upon intake Whistle was shy but receptive for introduction. Whistle was loose but very still for handling and counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) collar and photograph. Whistle did not seek to explore the room and when place in front of his carrier he was quick to enter.

Notes: Whistle was bought into the care center by his previous owner due to not having enough time to care for the whistle. .At the time of the assessment he was displaying very social behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Whistle is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling.
