04/19/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/19/15 16:38 Basic Info: Whiskey is an approximate 1yr old Male Domestic Shorthaired Cat. Whiskey was found on the streets of Harlem 2days ago by a friend of the finder with green/yellowish ocular discharge on the left eye and hasn’t been to a veterinarian. Social Life & Personality: Whiskey was around 3 children of different ages… 3yrs, 7yrs and 12yrs old and got along well with them. He was relaxed, affectionate and played with the children or just “hung out” around them. Whiskey was more so attached to the 7yr old since she played with and gave him affection more often. Whiskey’s activity level was described as low and “chill” he was playful at times, friendly with allowing to be handled, petted and picked up. Whiskey was around Birds in the home he watched them in their cage with curiosity. Behavior Issues: The finder had a tin pan as a litterbox and stated Whiskey used it with only two accidents… one on the floor and one on the carpet. He was kept indoors these last two days. Whiskey was quiet and low key most of the time finder believes it’s due to him being “sick” (finder believes it’s an URI). Whiskey doesn’t like to be put into a box or carrier & will struggle to get out of it. During the last two days Whiskey was also given a bath and he stuggled against it but did not resort to biting and or scratching. For a New Family to Know: Whiskey was given clumping litter for his tin pan (litter box). Whiskey had a mouse toy but didn’t play with it much. Finder didn’t notice whether Whiskey scratched on anything/anywhere in the home. While home Whiskey would follow the finder around or be in the same room as him. Whiskey didn’t seem to mind the car ride over..he just didn’t like being in the box and was vocal about being inside. Whiskey ate Science Diet wet food and Friskies dry food. He attempted to sleep on the bed with the finder but was put on the floor and slept on the floor. Intake Behavior: Whiskey was relaxed/calm during handling. He had soft body relaxed ears and tail. He allowed us to collar, scan (neg.) for a microchip and to take pictures. He enjoyed being petted and scratched behind the ears.
