WHISKERS LIVED AROUND THE POLICE PRECINT FOR 5 YEARS AND WHEN HE LOOKED ILL THE COPS BROUGHT HIM TO THE ACC WHERE NOW HE IS GOING TO BE KILLED WEDNESDAY! Whiskers lived quietly and alone near a police station and when the cops saw he looked ill, they figured they would bring him to the shelter for treatment and a home. Well, Whiskers is now euth listed because he has a URI and is congested. This boy was not aggressive but just afraid. He is 9 years old and it’s about time to end his hard life on the streets with a NEW HOME not a lethal injection. PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL THIS KITTY TO SAFETY!

03/31/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/31/15 15:07 Whiskers has been living around the police precinct for about 5 years. He doesn’t come up to people. He appears ill now and has red discharge, possibly coming from his mouth, so police trapped him, transferred him to a carrier, and brought him here. He scratched a police officer when he transferred him. Whiskers was tense at the front of the carrier. When I tried to transfer him, he ran out and fled to a high window sill. He hissed a little but wasn’t very resistant and didn’t flee further while I caught him with a freeman net. I put him in the carrier in the net and he attempted to escape again but was not able to. I couldn’t collar or scan him. He didn’t growl or try to scratch anyone.

04/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Whisker looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Whisker remains hiding under his cage bedding. Reaction to touch: Whisker avoids contact, but stiffens up during the touch with eyes wide open then attempts to hide again. Placement determination: Experience / no child Whisker tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
