*** SAFE 04/23/15*** WEEGEE IS A HOUSE PET WHO LOVES TO PLAY – BUT WHEN OWNER DUMPED IN SHELTER POOR WEEGEE IS SO SCARED SHE WAS NEW HOPE RATED! Weegee has gotten a bad deal here. This orange tabby girl was used to living with 2 adults and a child. Her former owner decided to move and not take his dependent cat with him. Weegee is an 8 yr old spayed girl and imagine how distraught she feels at being abanoned after all these years?? She was said to love to cuddle and be picked up. But the second she arrived at the kill happy ACC, she knew the jig was up and her fear set in and freaked her out. So of course, this cuddly, playful girl is now a scared, terrified one, and will now die at noon Thursday unless an understanding purrson will come to her aid. PLEASE DON’T LET WEEGEE DIE FOR HER OWNER’S LACK OF CONCERN FOR HER – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Weegee came to us as an owner surrender on 4/18/15. Upon intake it was reported by the previous owner that Weegee had lived with 2 adults and one child. The owner described the cat as a cat who loves to play, and enjoys petting. Upon intake Weegee growled at the assessor from his den when the assessor approached his kennel. He charged at and tried to bite when the assessor attempted to touch him. The behavior department believes that Weegee should go to a rescue that can provide positive behavior modification.
