WAXWING – A1036955
5-27-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 05/27/15***WONDERFUL WAXWING SWEET BUT SHY GINGERBREAD MAN NEEDS YOU! Doesn’t poor Waxwing look positively petrified and who can blame him? This handsome three year old creamsicle came in as a stray surrender back on 5/21 and is totally healthy, non aggressive and calm. But still he is another adoptable pet slated to become another sad ACC stat when tomorrow afternoon rolls around unless we do everything we can to advocate for his precious life tonight. Waxwing is a gentleman and would need a patient owner who can give him some time to decompress from shelter shock. He should settle in nicely once he feels safe and sound. Can you open your heart and home to this sweetheart? If so, please reserve him online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Won’t you please be this sweet but shy gingerbread man’s rescue angel?

05/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Waxwing looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Waxwing remains crouched down at the back of his cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Waxwing accepts the stroke, but stiffen up during the touch and began to lip lick in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
