7-8-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 07/08/15*** WAM IS WONDERING WHAT SHE IS DOING IN THE SHELTER – SHE IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE IS HOMELESS!! WAM was brought into the shelter as a stray. We never really know if these are strays or an owner who didn’t want to pay the fee. However, poor little WAM is only 8 months old and she is bewildered at her fate here. She allowed some petting and handling and got a good EXPNOCHID rating because she was fearful. WAM needs a place to chill out and realize she is safe. Can you give her a place to lay her head? WAM is only a KITTEN and kittens are meant to have fun, play and entertain us with their antics! WAM NEEDS YOU TO NIGHT TO GIVE HER THAT FREEDOM TO ENJOY HER LIFE. SHE ONLY HAS TIL NOON BEFORE THE ACC ENDS THAT CHANCE. CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL THIS TABBY GIRL TO SAFETY.

07/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Wam was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying very fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats to corner of cage Reaction to touch: becomes very tense and nervous, allows limited petting Placement Determination: Experience no child
