Gorgeous gray medium-haired senior boy WAFFLE CONE, nine years old, was brought to the kill-happy ACC when his old owner MOVED to new cat-free digs and left poor Waffle Cone to fend for himself in the shelter. At home, Waffle Cone was PURRfect: “Owner said that Waffle Cone is originally from outside, and he gradually socialized him and made him an indoor cat. Waffle Cone is litter-box trained, and is playful with the other cats he lived with.” This stunningly handsome gentleman earned a very good behavior rating of EXPNOCHILD, but the heartless ACC will MURDER Waffle Cone at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that Waffle Cone is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! 08/01/15 08:37 Basic Information Waffle Cone was brought in as an owner’s surrender. Owner said that Waffle Cone is originally from outside, and he gradually socialized him and attempted to make him an indoor cat. Owner says Waffle Cone has all his claws, and says as far as he knows; he has no injuries or health concern. Waffle Cone is said to be litter-box trained, and to be playful with the other cats he lived with. Owner says when afraid Waffle Cone will begin to scratch. Behavior during Intake Waffle Cone was tense during intake. He hissed, struggled and began to swat when counselor attempted to remove him from former owner’s crate. Due to intake behavior, no further handling was done.

Waffle Cone’s former owner stated he is playful with the other cats he lived with. Reaction to assessor: Waffle looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Waffle remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with a hard stare. Reaction to touch: Waffle attempts to avoid contact, but once touched he slowly crouch walks away from the assessor’s hand and began to eye wander with tail tightly close to the body. Placement determination: Experience / no child Waffle Cone tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
