***SAFE 06/13/15***TERRIFIC TABBY KITTEN NEEDS NEW FRIEND “Too many pets” has got to be one of the worst cop-out excuses that people use, when dumping perfectly good pets off at the high-kill shelter. Seriously, who do they think they’re fooling? Do they expect us to believe that they came home one day to find that someone had stuffed a bunch of cats in through their windows? Whoever surrendered Veve and his housemates, added them to their home on purpose. They brought Veve into their lives, then decided to take the cowards way out and pitch him into the shelter system…where tonight along with 32 other precious pets, he fights for his life. Veve is still a playful and loveable kitten at just nine months old and deserves a chance to grow up in a loving home. He gets along well with other cats and besides a couple of curable kitty sniffles, is purrfectly healthy. Please find a sane, stable home for this great kitty, tonight. Won’t you please be this terrific tabby’s rescue angel?

06/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please take note: Veve’s former owner stated he has lived with 3 other cats and was relaxed, affectionate, and playful. When he played it was gentle to exuberant. Reaction to assessor: Veve looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Veve remains sitting upright on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Veve retreats to the back of his cage, stiffens up in place with ears flat down. He then accepts the stroke but began to yowl. Placement determination: Experience / no child Veve tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
