**SAFE 09/15/15** VALENTINE is a spayed sweetie who was adopted from the ACC once already, and must have thought she was home for keeps. That was until her former owner randomly decided they were “allergic” to her, after she spent years of her life being tolerant of young children and generally being a perfect pet. Tonight, Valentine misses the people she loves, even if they don’t miss her. Their faces will be the last, panic-stricken thing she thinks about as she is given a lethal injection tomorrow, which is why it’s vital to find a foster/adopter for her, tonight!

09/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Valentine was bought into the care center due to her previous owner being allergic to cats. Valentine has lived with children. She is relaxed around children but does not play with them. She has not been around dogs or other cats to know her behavior with them. She is litter box trained, kept indoors, and has a medium activity level. The previous owner describes Valentine has mellow, friednly, quiet, and independent. Notes: At the time of the assessment Valentine was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that Valentine goes to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Valentine tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Placement Determination: Experience
