US BLUES – A1048064
8-22-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 8/22/15*** SECOND CHANCE FOR US BLUES!! US BLUES is a 1 year old brown and white tabby male stray who is afraid. As well he should be, his friends from the other night, PROPHET & SUNFLOWER didn’t make it. Fortunately, CHINA CAT did. US BLUES doesn’t know what to make of the strangers who try to pet him, and he freezes in position. He has potential to be a great pet for an experienced cat owner with no children. Time with a foster or patient adopter may mean life or death for US BLUES…WE CAN’T HELP PROPHET OR SUNFLOWER NOW BUT WE CAN HELP US BLUES…..OPEN YOUR HEART AND OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT HIM TONIGHT!!

08/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: US Blues lies flat against the ground and hides behind his litter box upon approach. He lowers his eyes and his ears tilt sideways when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: US Blues remains stiff and motionless. Reaction to touch: US Blues is extremely stiff with touch. He backs away slightly, but remains immobile when pet on his head. His ears bend flat and he is focused on the assessor, but he didn’t display any further reaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child US Blues tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
