09/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per the previous owner, Uno was kept indoors and was described as a mellow and friendly cat. He likes lying in the bathroom sink and sleeping. He may struggle to get away when held, but is comfortable around visitors and allows petting. Reaction to assessor: Uno was resting in his cage upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Uno opens his eyes momentarily, but closes it again due to sleepiness. Reaction to cage door opening: Uno remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Uno remains in place for petting, leans on the assessor’s hand, and begins to purr. He starts to rub his cheeks onto his litter box to solicit more attention when the assessor stops petting him. Reaction to being picked up: Uno becomes tense (possible due to girth). He prefers to be on all four feet. Behavior Determination: Average Uno interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
