Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Umi was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She had a relaxed body upon intake. She purred, head-butt, and allowed all handling. She was also easy to handle and showed no signs of aggression during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Umi was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Umi looks at the assessor and starts to groom herself. Reaction to cage door opening: Umi remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Umi head-butts, begins to purr, and leans on the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Umi remains calm and nuzzles into the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Beginner Umi interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
