11/10/15 18:17 Animal’s appearance – Cat appeared clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – I was easily able to transfer cat from box to den without any issues. Finder stated she found this cat outside of her house. It was living under her deck for a bit and she was able to finally trap it and bring it here to the ACC.

11/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE

Tyra was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder was able to bring her to the care center in a carrier. She allowed handling during the intake process and during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Tyra was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tyra looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Tyra remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tyra gets up, begins to purr, and allows all petting. Reaction to being picked up: Tyra remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Average Tyra interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
