I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/09/2015 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-038922.

11/9/15 18:37 Basic information: Macon A1057398 and Tybee A1057399 were brought together in as trapped strays. The finder found them in the street, the finder trapped Macon and Tybee in a cat carriers and brought them to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Macon and Tybee were very tense with stiff bodies. Macon and Tybee would retreat from extended hand and growl at the handler. They did not allow to be scanned (done through the trap (negative), collared, pictured (taken in the cage), signs of fear towards handler.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Tybee looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tybee remains crouched down in her litter box, yowling in place. Reaction to touch: Tybee at first, retreats then began to accept the stroke while she slowly loosens up in place and kneads. She continues to head-butt the assessor’s hand however, remains unsure with her surroundings with eyes wandering. Placement determination: Experience Tybee tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
