TWILIGHT – A1036058
5-18-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 05/18/15** First They Blame Him, Then They Plan To Kill Him! Twilight is a handsome boy who suffered the indignity of being trapped and brought into the shelter as if he had done something wrong. He was actually behaving pretty well during his initial medical exam, for a terrified boy, until someone dropped something. Twilight’s fear level shot through the roof and that set the tone for his entire shelter stay. Tonight, he has a New Hope rating and they might even be planning to kill him first, tomorrow. Twilight has done nothing wrong and he deserves a second chance. Only a New Hope rescue group can save his life, tonight.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Twilight was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
