05/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Tweety Bird was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He tries to flee and is extremely fearful. Tweety Bird currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage (in cat den) (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (in cat den)(3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: fearful, tries to flee (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, tries to flee.
