TURLY – A1056581
Gone 11-5-2015 Brooklyn
*** GONE 11/05/15 *** TRAPPED! Innocent TURLY was minding his own business when he was caught in a trap and brought to the ACC. Cats don’t understand the concept of “private property” so they don’t realize how crabby some folks get when so much as one errant pawprint shows up in their yard. Turly is not enjoying his ACC experience, but he still rocked a respectable EXPNOCHILD rating. This beautiful guy needs a safe place to unwind, and he needs that to manifest TONIGHT! Otherwise, Turly could be the first cat killed while New York City eats it’s lunch, tomorrow.

11/01/15 14:56 Turly is an all black cat that came in as a stray. Finder stated that there are multiple cats in his neighborhood that frequent his yard. He was able to trap Turly and bring it in. Upon intake, Turly did display signs of nervousness. Initially, she allowed herself to be pet inside the carrier. However, due to there being multiple cat intakes in the office at the time and multiple people, she retreated to the back of the carrier and did not want to be removed. She was not collard and was photographed inside the carrier.

11/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Turly was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder found him in his yard and was able to bring him into the care center. He allowed the counselor to pet him, but became reluctant to be removed from the carrier and showed signs of nervousness. Reaction to assessor: Turly does not come to the front, but remains neutral in his cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Turly looks up at the assessor with wide eyes and then averts his gaze. Reaction to cage door opening: Turly remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Turly remains immobile and allows the assessor to pet him on his head and body, but remains stiff and seems wary of the environment. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Turly tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
